My family and I are leaving for WDW in 5 DAYS..Woo-hoo!! How much time should we give ourselves to get to some of the dining options we reserved? They're at MK, Epcot, Disney Boardwalk, DWL, Polynesian, and Downtown Disney. Any help would be great.

Hi, Larry!    I am really excited for your upcoming vacation!   Hope you are getting packed and have everything ready to roll!

Without knowing your destinations, as a general rule I suggest always allowing at least one hour for transportation.   Especially when traveling between resorts, some commute times can be a bit long and I prefer to be a little early than be rushing.

To find approximate travel times and routes, go to and scroll to the bottom of the page to the Transportation Wizard.   By selecting Point A and Point B, the Wizard will give you route options and travel times.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
