Hiya, Ana-Marija!Oh boy! A voyage aboard the Disney Magic to San Diego will be amazing. My family sailed on the Disney Wonder going nearly the opposite direction to Vancouver earlier this year. It was a cruise we will never forget. As fellow Guests like you, we at planDisney are glad to give the best advice and support we can. Although it may not be official information as if from a consulate, the State Department, or border security services, I hope I can point you toward the best possible information. You are very right to be verifying the correct travel documents for your upcoming Disney cruise. Ultimately, it's incumbent on us as travelers to make sure everything is practically perfect in every way.For one-way Pacific Coast cruises, Canadian citizens, including children, must have either an original valid passport or an original valid Trusted Traveler card. Many types of cruise itineraries do happen to have additional requirements for dates of validity of travel documents, often requiring that passports are valid not only for the duration of the cruise but also for an additional six months. As far as I know, such requirements are not imposed on Pacific Coast itineraries. I would encourage you to verify this with information from the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. In your particular case, I would suggest confirming waivers for extended periods of validity under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI).I do hope you have a magical time on your cruise, Ana-Marija. And while you are in San Diego, I hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy some of the wonderful area attractions. You might even find it convenient to travel less than 160 kilometers from the port in San Diego to one of my favorite places to visit: the Disneyland Resort. It's only about an hour and a half by car or about three hours or so by rail and other public transportation. My family just loves combining cruises out of San Diego with visits to The Happiest Place on Earth for lovely land and sea adventures.Have a great cruise Ana-Marija!~Tony
