We are a family of 6, kids are 14 year old daughter, twins girls 7 and a 5 year old son. Debating park hopper option, will my kids would be able to handle more than one park a day....Can I go to other parks on the shuttles if staying off resort?

    Hi Miranda!

What a great question!I love Disney's Park Hopper option, especially when my family finishes touring a particular park long before it's closing time.We can just pick up and go to the next park for several more hours of fun!

Having a large family with a variety of ages myself,I do want to caution you that  traveling between parks can be time consuming.Guests that are staying at Walt Disney World or have Magic Your Way Tickets with Park Hopper option are able to take advantage of Disney's transportation system.Buses at Walt Disney World typically connect guests from resorts to parks and vice versa.Traveling between parks will often require you to transfer buses or other modes of transportation in order to reach your destination.

To reach a different park usually the best way is to board a bus to a resort that is close to the park you are trying to reach and then transfer to another bus to reach your final destination. If I am currently visiting Hollywood Studios and want to go to Magic Kingdom, I would take the bus to the Contemporary Resort and either walk or use the monorail. You can see where this would be time consuming.

My suggestion is to wait until after you arrive before adding the Park Hopper option, this would allow you to see if it would be beneficial to your family. The Park Hopper option can be added to your tickets at anytime throughout your vacation. If you decide to add the Park Hopper option, just take your tickets to any Guest Relations or ticket window to have it added.Keep in mind that the prices for Park Hopper are not prorated and you will be charged $59.00 per a ticket whether it is your first day of vacation or your last.In order to for this option to be beneficial financially,it is best to figure it out sooner in your vacation than later.

I hope this was helpful and please let me know if you have anymore questions.

    Happy Planning!
