Our family of 5 (kids 6, 8, 11) wants your opinion on great shore excursions in Maztln, PVallarta & Cabo. It's our 1st cruise (Wonder 2/27/11). We're Alaskans. Love outdoors, local folk, history. Interested in snorkeling, parasailing, horses, sailing.

Hi, Deborah! Congratulations on your first cruise aboard the Disney Wonder! You and your kids are going to love the ship which will make it hard to leave for excursions. However, with all there is to offer in Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas -- you are smart to plan now for how you want to see Mexico.

Like my family, you have a range of ages which makes your group mobile and active...yet, still limits you in some shore excursions due to age and height restrictions. Therefore, my suggestion for ease, convenience and safety is to book the 3-Port Package for Families (ages 5+). This will give you a taste of the culture and history of the areas you visit and a little adventure as well. Plus, it frees you up trying to figure out when and how the family will eat and play while you're away from the ship and how to get to and from your shore excursion sites. This packaged Port Adventure also figures in "free time" which my family enjoys. One booking does it all for you in three ports of call!

Have a beautiful day and a magical vacation! Bon voyage!
