Family of 4 (kids 4,7) going in Sep. We have ADR at Sci-Fi. I've heard Fantasmic is amazing but wait is very long. Is it worth the wait? Should I cancel Sci-Fi and do dinner package so we don't have to wait an hr? How much time does that cut out? Thanks!!

    Hi Angela!

Fantasmic! is my favorite nighttime spectacular at the Walt Disney World Resort.  It's awesome and definitely a "must see".

Unfortunately, Disney stopped offering Fantasmic! every night at Disney's Hollywood Studios and now only offers it on select nights which has made it harder to experience and much more crowded.  Luckily, you are going during a relatively slow time of the year.  Generally speaking, in September, if you get to Fantasmic! about an hour before showtime, you shouldn't have any problems getting in.

The Fantasmic! Dining Package is a great way to have a meal and see Fantasmic!  If you do that, you can get away with arriving at Fantasmic! about 30 minutes before showtime as there is a reserved seating area.  However, the reserved seating area is a little off center and not the best viewing location.  My recommendation would be just to get to the show an hour early and don't worry about the package.  However, if you don't like waiting, then the package is the way to go.  My family has done it both ways over the years!

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
