My family (DH, kids 13 and 10) and I are considering doing the W&D 5K in Nov. None of us are currently runners, so we will be "training" between now and then. How will we give a pace time when we register, since we should be faster in Nov th

    HI Rebecca!

Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5K is such a fun race!  Your family will love it!

Your estimated pace time is not hugely important in this race.  Unless you think you will be under an 11:00 minute/mile pace, I would put myself in one of the last two categories.  Since you will be running with children, they will probably want to stop and have photos taken, etc.  The first couple of corrals usually consist of faster runners.  When my boys and I run together, I definitely don't want to be positioned in one of those corrals where we may be getting in someone's way!

I would just see what your pace is now and choose one that is a little faster.  The 5K races are not timed events, so it's really just a fun, laid back run through Disney's Animal Kingdom.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
