Hi Cathy,
A family Christmas vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. How exciting. It is my family's favorite time of the year to visit, and we've done it many times.
All of the resort dresses up for the holiday season and it's an experience like no other. Besides the theme parks offering beautiful holiday parades and special nighttime fireworks, the resorts get all decked out with decorations. We always set time in our schedules to tour some of the resorts to watch their Christmas trees and decorations.
Among the many options, my family enjoys Epcot the most, since it lets us explore how traditions are celebrated around the world, and offers Candlelight Processional, where a celebrity narrator tells the story of Christmas along joyous holiday music performed by an impressive choir and orchestra. Up to now, the experience has been offered twice daily and it's extremely popular. An great option is to book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Bookmark the
Holidays Around the World at Epcot page for updates.
The theme parks get very busy and Magic Kingdom often fills to capacity by noon time, therefore I suggest you select another theme park or to enjoy your resort hotel. Religious services are typically offered in the morning at Disney's Contemporary Resort. And many of the restaurants offer special holiday menus to help with the celebrations. Remember you can make reservations up to 180 days in advance, either with the
My Disney Experience mobile app, or the
Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page, or calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463.
If you have more questions, don't hesitate to come back. See you real soon!
Ricardo.
