My family with kids ages 2,6,13,15 and 18 are traveling to DW in June. We have reservations at CRT for lunch one day of our trip and are thinking about a reservation at Akershus as well. Is this too much Princess overload? What would you recommend instead?

My daughter loves all of the characters, but she is definitely a princess at heart! On our last trip, we had breakfast in the castle and a few days later we had breakfast at Akershus. We really enjoyed doing both because we were able to see some different princesses at each meal. We plan on doing both again on our next trip.
One of the best parts of each meal, in my opinion is that you get a photo package included in the price of the meal. If you are taking advantage of Disney's PhotoPass you can also add these photos to your PhotoPass account.
I would say that it is up to your family. If your children love princesses and would like to try both meals, I say absolutely go for it! The atmosphere at each restaurant is so unique and in our experience, the food was also good. One possibility would be to make your reservation for Akershus a few days before or after your reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table so that you have a few days in between.
If you decide that doing both will be too much, and you would like to do a character meal in Epcot, I would recommend trying The Garden Grill. They have a wonderful character meal for dinner. It is served family style, which is great because you don't have to leave your seat and risk missing the characters!
Whatever your family decides to do, I hope you have a great time!
