My family (kids ages 6 & 3) is staying at the wilderness lodge in november. We have 2 pool days, without going into any parks. Any suggestions on where to go for lunch or dinner? I love the idea of seeing some of the other resorts, not sure if its too

    Hi Lisa,

You're going to love Disney's Wilderness Lodge!  I'm so glad you have built some Silver Creek Springs Pool time into your schedule so that you can enjoy a few leisurely days devoted to soaking in the amazing atmosphere at your resort.  There are plenty of fun pool-related activities that your kids will love.  (My favorite is the rubber duck racing that goes on at the pool).  Be sure to pick up a schedule of activities when you check in.

As for lunch and dinner, I highly recommend at least one lunch right there at Roaring Fork, the quick service restaurant just a few steps away from the pool at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  I'm particularly fond of the salads served there, and the cupcakes are legendary!

If you want to check out restaurants in other Disney resorts, take a quick boat over to Chef Mickey's on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort.  I'm sure your kids will love eating dinner with Mickey and his friends.  'Ohana, on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House in Disney's Polynesian Resort, is another tasty and fun option for families with kids. (To get there, take a boat to the Contemporary and then transfer to the monorail).  Be sure to book reservations at these two restaurants in advance by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

Wishing you a magical vacation in November!
