We are a family of 5 with kids aged 5, 8, and 10. Is there a hotel highly recommended to stay at in Vancouver the night prior to the 7day cruise?

    Hi, Pamela!

Our family is planning for an Alaskan adventure aboard the Disney Wonder this summer, too, and I've investigated a few options for staying in Vancouver pre or post cruise.  Here are some hotels I found:

    Fairmont Vancouver Airport
The Fairmont Vancouver Airport is the only luxury hotel and spa within Vancouver's International Airport located 20 minutes south of Vancouver. The guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows offering soundproof views of the mountains and plane-spotting opportunities.

    Pan Pacific Hotel
Cruise ships dock outside your window at this luxury hotel, and you board your ship at the cruise terminal level, beneath the hotel. The Convention Centre and IMAX theatre are a part of the Canada Place complex, which offers several restaurants with a view of the harbor.

    Fairmont Waterfront
The Fairmont Waterfront boasts a spectacular location across from the Convention Centre and Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal and walking distance to explore the city's many restaurants, shops and galleries.

    Marriott Pinnacle Downtown
This luxury high-rise is 3 blocks from Canada Place in the heart of the business district. The well-appointed rooms feature a range of luxury items including duvet, complimentary in-room coffee/tea and shoe shine. A few minutes to Canada Place by taxi, 15 minutes to Ballantyne Pier.

    Fairmont Pacific Rim
Fairmont Pacific Rim is Vancouver's new luxurious hotel offering a prime waterfront location. Guest rooms showcase views of the historic district, surrounded by the dramatic skyline. All guest rooms offer the most lavish appointments.

I hope this gives you an idea of what you can expect in Vancouver -- I know this gets me even more excited about our voyage. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
