Hi, Michelle!
I'm glad to hEAR that you are planning to purchase a
Disney Dining Plan. I think you will find that having a Disney Dining Plan is both convenient and a great value. Just thinking about dining at the Walt Disney World Resort has me hungry for Mickey waffles and Dole Whips!
When participating in any of the Disney Dining Plan options, children ages 3-9 are required to order from the children's menu, where available. However, I think that you will find that the children's menus at Walt Disney World Resort dining locations really provide a great selection. While most Walt Disney World children's menus offer your typical "kid foods" like chicken fingers or pizza, Walt Disney World also does a great job of providing younger guests with more grown-up options as well. Children's Menus always have some healthier choices, and many locations even offer kid-size portions of their adult entrees.
Of course, you always have the option of purchasing an extra adult entree out-of-pocket in addition to using your dining plan entitlements. I know you mentioned that you were interested in purchasing the
Quick-Service Dining Plan. However, another option you may want to look into is upgrading to the
Disney Dining Plan which includes one quick-service meal, one table-service meal, and two snacks per person, per night. Upgrading to this plan would give you the option to visit some table-service restaurants that are buffet or family-style. Buffet and family-style restaurants are a great option for younger children who have bigger appetites or more adventurous tastes.
See ya real soon!
Samantha
