Hi, my Family and I are joining you on may 7th 2022. I have Crohn’s Disease and I am wondering if this allows me to have access to DAS as I sometimes require the restroom urgently? Just trying to plan so I don’t disrupt my family’s fun too much :)

    Hello Emma!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by. I'm happy to see that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort to enjoy some sun and fun. While you are here, I do recommend that you take a day, or two, to enjoy the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. Taking place until early July, Guests have the opportunity to view beautiful topiaries, demonstrations, and entertainment such as the Garden Rocks Concert Series. I highly recommend checking out all of the outdoor kitchens which offer delicious dishes, and drinks from around the world.

Emma, the Disability Access Service, or DAS, provides an alternative option for Guests who have difficulty waiting in the conventional queue. From personal experience, we have been granted DAS for a similar situation, and it has allowed us to enjoy attractions without needing to map out the nearest bathroom or exit. When you arrive, head to Guest Services at your park of choice, and you can speak to a Cast Member who will be able to discuss your DAS needs and recommend an option for you.  Bear in mind that you will not need to disclose your medical condition, solely the reason why a DAS will allow you, and your party, to experience the parks in the best way possible.

DAS Tip: Once you are registered for your DAS, be sure to have all the members of your family with you so that you can be linked together in the system. This will allow you to make return times for attractions for everyone at once.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
