Our family, including 3 kids, are visiting WDW June 1-8 with my parents. My dad has trouble walking for such long hours and we are thinking of renting either a wheelchair or scooter. Which would you recommend?

    Hi Sue,

Congratulations on your upcoming trip.  How thoughtful that you are thinking of your dad.  Both ECVs and wheelchairs will likely enable your dad to enjoy your family trip more, and both are available to rent at the four main theme parks and Downtown Disney.  The benefit of an ECV includes the fact that your dad will be able to maneuver himself around throughout the day versus requiring someone to push him.  However, ECV rentals are significantly more expensive than wheelchairs.  Currently, wheelchairs are available for $12 per day at the theme parks, and ECVs are available for $50 per day (plus a refundable security deposit).  For more information including rental locations, and please click HERE.  Alternatively, if you have any specific questions at all about these rentals or other disability concerns you may call (407) 939-6244 and a cast member will be happy to assist you.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
