Congratulations Kayla!!
What an exciting time for your family. I love babies so much that I made it my career! As an OB Anesthesiologist, I make sure momma is happy and comfortable as she prepares to bring her baby Donald or baby Daisy into the world. I wish you much pixie dust for a safe and healthy pregnancy!
A gender reveal at Walt Disney World is a fantastic idea, and I have a few of them that I think you would like! It seems like you have a multi-generational trip coming up, so may I suggest a reveal with a Character? I love the idea of bringing
a onesie with Mickey or Minnie to a
Character Greeting with the famous duo. Once you arrive, let the Cast Member at the front in on your secret. They may even be able to sneak the onesie to Mickey or Minnie. Then, once you’re in front of the
Disney PhotoPass photographer, you (or the Character) can unveil the surprise! My favorite part is that the photographer will be on hand to capture the real-time reactions of your family.
If you’d prefer to reveal the gender at a meal, consider
T-Rex at Disney Springs. With a bit of advanced planning, they will
light up the ice cave for you in pink or blue! Or, maybe a
custom cake delivery to a restaurant on property? You can have the fantastic Disney Chefs write the gender on top, or dye the cake batter pink or blue. Once again, this requires a bit of planning; you need to call (407) 827-2253 at least 72 hours before your dining reservation.
Two last suggestions! My dEAR friend,
Kate, suggests getting
Disney Floral & Gifts involved in your surprise! They could deliver
Buzz Lightyear or
princess-themed goodies and balloons to your room. You can arrange for them to do it while you are in the Parks so that when your mom and kiddos open the door, the surprise is right in front of them! My other dEAR friend,
Tony, had a great idea that involves The Force! I bet your two older kiddos would love to
build a lightsaber. You or your husband could secretly pick the color of their kyber crystal. When they activate the lightsaber, it will
light up blue or pink! I think that’s an out-of-this-world way to announce who’s joining your family!
Kayla, I wish you a magical reveal!
