My family (me, my husband and 2 girls: ages 12 & 9) are planning a trip to WDW in Oct 2011 and are staying at Beach Club Resort or Villa. We are looking for the lowest crowds. What is the best week to come? Thanks for your help!

October is a fabulous time to visit Walt Disney World, Sherry.  Be sure to consider attending one of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties while you're on vacation; they're spooktacular!   As for crowd levels, October is a month in which the crowds are relatively mild, consistently.  The one exception is Columbus Day weekend, so do try to avoid that time frame if at all possible.   Other than that, I highly recommend October as a great option.  My family goes in late September/early October every year!

Meet the Panelist: Darcie, Alabama

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
