Hi Rebecca,
In my opinion, when considering your kids' age group, I think they would enjoy
Disney's Art of Animation Resort (AoA) the best. The visual aspect of the resort will make the kids feel like they are in the middle of some of Disney/ Pixar's most beloved films.
The
Art of Animation Resort's recreation areas have three pools with distinct themes and play areas. The pools are named the Cozy Cone Pool, The Big Blue Pool, and the Flippin' Fins Pool. What I like most about the Big Blue Pool is that if you go underwater, you can hear sounds from Finding Nemo! Seriously, how cool is that?
I really like
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR) and would personally pick it over the AoA. But, I think when you compare the two in the eyes of a four year old, CBR is more appreciated by older kids. It is a moderate resort and has wonderful amenities. The
large pool at Old Port Royale is themed as a spanish fortress and there is also a massive zero entry water play area. I would totally love to play in it but not sure about the wee little ones. There's no swimming allowed at any of the beaches in Walt Disney World as they are just for sunbathing, running around, making sand castles, and playing.
I've probably made your decision harder but wanted to let you know some of the differences and possibly see it from the kids' eyes. Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel! we're always here for you!
