Janet from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello, my family and I are hoping to visit both parks in california on the 18th of June. Im wondering if its possible to see both nighttime shows and fireworks. Do they have more than one time viewing or are they at different times?

    Hi there, Janet!

My family and I are planning to pack as much magic as possible into our upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort too. We're looking forward to it!

To view the entertainment schedule for the current day at the Disneyland Resort, use the Disneyland mobile app and locate "Park Hours & Info" on the app's ☰ feature menu. From the Park Hours & Info screen, select "Today" to display the available fireworks and nighttime entertainment, parades, and other shows.

To make plans for an upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort, you can find scheduled entertainment dates and times on the Disneyland Resort website. Under the "Parks & Tickets" menu, select "More Hours." On that page, be sure to select both theme parks to display all of the options you are looking for. And, of course, you'll want to select "Change Date" to match the day of your visit. Under the section for each theme park, you will find "Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment." Although hours and available offerings are subject to change, this will still be a very useful tool to help you plan your visit to the Disneyland Resort.

On June 18, 2023, the schedule shows that there are two showings of World of Color – ONE. The first show is at 9:00 PM and the second at 10:15 PM. Over in Walt Disney's Original Magic Kingdom, the nighttime spectacular Wondrous Journeys is scheduled for 9:30 PM. Both of these shows are exciting celebrations of 100 years of Disney magic.

Because the nighttime spectaculars are scheduled so close to each other during your visit, I would recommend picking one or the other to watch. That way, you could take the time needed to find a good viewing location and enjoy the show without the pressure to quickly move to the other park between shows. Note: if you wish to view World of Color – ONE from the reserved viewing areas, you will need to use the Disneyland mobile app to join a Virtual Queue for the show. Virtual Queue reservations can be requested starting at noon. So setting a reminder alarm on your phone may be advisable.

If you are excited to try the challenge of seeing both shows in one evening, it may be possible with some preparation and a little bit of help from a wishing star. The viewing area you will want to choose for Disneyland Park should be either Town Square or the extreme south end of Main Street, U.S.A. Occasionally, aerial pyrotechnics cannot be presented due to weather. Should that happen during your visit, Wondrous Journeys is still likely to be presented with projections. In that case, Main Street, U.S.A. is a great viewing location. The show time for World of Color – ONE is a little less than half an hour. The show time for Wondrous Journeys is a little less than a quarter-hour. And remember that Disney California Adventure Park is scheduled to close at 10:00 PM on the day of your visit. So if you are hoping to see the later showing of World of Color – ONE, you will need to plan to enter the park before that time.

I hope that helps you with your plans for your visit to the Disneyland Resort, Janet. If there is any other advice we can help offer, I hope you'll visit us at planDisney again soon.
