My family and I are hoping to visit Disneyland in early February 2025, but I’m nervous that Haunted Mansion won’t be open yet. On average, how long does it take to remove the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay? Will it be open by February 1?

Hey there Alana!  Thanks for bringing your great question to planDisney!

As much as I love Haunted Mansion Holiday, I am so excited for the classic Haunted Mansion attraction to return!  The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are scheduled to end on January 6, 2025.  Usually, the transformation of Haunted Mansion Holiday back into Haunted Mansion takes place as soon as the Holidays end, and typically lasts around 10 days to 2 weeks.  However, there is still quite a bit of construction around the attraction taking place, and there has not been an official announcement of when the transformation will begin.  I would keep my eye on the hours & events calendar, as well as the Disneyland site, I am hopeful that it will be reopened in time for your trip, but there has not been an official announcement yet.

However, you will have the opportunity to experience a new attraction during your visit.  Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be open during your trip dates, which is so exciting!  I cannot wait to take the journey through the Louisiana Bayou with Princess Tiana, and enjoy the new songs throughout the attraction.

I'm sending you all of the pixie dust that you're able to experience Haunted Mansion during your trip, Alana!  If we can help with any other questions as you plan your trip, please do not hesitate to come back and ask.

    Have a magical day!
