My family and I are hoping to spend my 40TH BDAY at the Happiest Place on Earth in 2025, but we also want to be there for the beginning of the Holidays @ the Disneyland Resort. My Birthday is Nov. 9th. If we stay 7 or 8 nights, will we get to enjoy both?

On behalf of all of us here at planDisney, a Very Merry (Un)Birthday to you, Katrina! I'm so happy you brought this question to us, and it'll be an honor to help a fellow Washingtonian plan such a special celebration.

It's always a bit tricky to predict the future, but I do find it helpful to look backward to see the dates of the previous holiday seasons. For example, this year will feature holiday celebrations kicking off officially on November 15, 2024. In the year prior, the holiday season ran from November 10, 2023 through January 7, 2024. So, based on these trends I would consider it a pretty good bet that your visit dates in mid-November of next year would closely align with the beginning of the holiday festivities in 2025! My best recommendation is to keep watch on the Disney Parks Blog, as all the news and announcements about seasonal celebrations are typically announced there. In fact, this year we got a great article announcing the timeline of special events and celebrations throughout 2024 which was so helpful to Guests planning their vacations with a good amount of lead time! Hopefully, we will get a similar preview of what's to come in 2025 toward the end of this year, too.

Katrina, as you continue to make your preparations for next year's birthday spectacular, let me share some recommendations about how to make your celebration a dream come true. If you haven't already considered this, I would highly encourage you to make your table service dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. Some of my favorite places for a celebratory meal are Carthay Circle and Lamplight Lounge inside Disney California Adventure Park or Napa Rose inside Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. You might even consider booking an experience from the Enchanting Extras Collection which would definitely be a unique way to commemorate your 40th birthday! Ultimately, spending time with the ones who know and love you best is the greatest gift imaginable, and to do it in 'The Happiest Place on Earth' is simply wondrous!

I wish you the most amazing visit with your entire family, Katrina! If we can help with anything else in the meantime, please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney and share more questions with us. We love helping Guests plan their most magical Disney vacation moments!

    Magically yours,
