Hi Lauren thank you for stopping by planDisney. We are happy you brought us your question. I have a 17-year-old that at one time was 16 months old visiting for her first time. And truth be told we still take mid-day breaks.
On the day of your
EPCOT visit you can be on your
My Disney Experience App a couple minutes before 7 a.m. to try for a boarding group for the early part of the day. One of my pro tips for little ones is not disturbing their sleep schedules, and I lived by it over the years. It gives us those extra miles at the end of the day when we get to recharge. If you miss your time for that early time slot you will not be able to reschedule your time. On my last visit with my son, we waited until the 1 p.m. Virtual Queue so we could enjoy our usual mid-day break. He is 11 so it included a trip to the hotel pool. When you try for the 1 p.m.
Virtual Queue you will need to be inside of the park to obtain a boarding group. We left immediately after we got our boarding group to rest and returned 3 hours later around an hour before we were called for what I feel is the best roller coaster I have ever been on. Your smartphone will notify you when it is your turn to return, just make sure you have notifications turned on.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind takes you on a wild ride with Drax, Rocket, and other Guardians through space and time. This coaster turns 360 degrees while on the track and ensures you are always able to face the action head-on like a true guardian. The first-ever reverse launch on a Disney coaster means no shortcuts were taken by Walt Disney Imagineering with its design. Each ride is a little different as there are several song options for the soundtrack while you ride this amazing experience.
If you have any other questions or need any planning tips for your visit stop by
planDisney.com and we will be happy to help.
Have a magical day,
Jeremy A.
