First, let's talk about where you will be able to get lightsabers for your intergalactic gender reveal! A first option is that Batuu usually has a
Disney Photo Pass Cast Member with some lightsabers that you can use to get your portrait taken at night. However, this option does not guarantee that they will have the colours of lightsabers you want. Therefore, if you would like to make this experience extra special, I have a second option for you.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Savi's Workshop allows you to handbuild your own lightsaber and select the colour you want among a wider choice. You and your husband could build the lightsaber together, symbolizing the family you also formed together, and then use the corresponding colour for the gender. If you would like to keep it a surprise until the very last moment, you could each build blue and pink lightsabers and have your family members hand you the one that corresponds to your little Jedi's gender. I can see that Savi's Workshop still has openings available on your trip dates, and you can select later times during the evening so that your lightsaber will truly shine in the dark. Finally, you could end the day by purchasing your little Jedi's first Rey or Kylo Ren plush toy on your way out of the planet as another way to make this reveal unique!
Second, I would highly recommend that you add the
Memory Maker service to your vacation so that you can get all the beautiful pictures to remember this incredible moment! Indeed, with many Disney Photo Pass Cast Members available around
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, you will be able to have high-quality pictures taken of your precious day. If you would like these pictures to be extra special, you can also schedule a
Capture Your Moment session at Disney's Hollywood Studios. However, it seems that the service is only available until the afternoon on the date of your visit, which would not allow you to get pictures at night with your glowing lightsaber. Either way, I would highly recommend using one of these services as Disney Photo Pass Cast Members can perfectly capture the magic of your visit.
