Hi, me and my family are hopefully travelling to Disney world in February. Our daughter is required to take a LFT 3-5 days into the vacation. Can you please tell me is there a pharmacy on Disney property that I can purchase a test.

Hi, Sara - thanks for stopping by planDisney!

February is one of my absolute favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort. When you're here, be sure to check out the two new nighttime spectaculars, Harmonious at EPCOT and Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park. I saw them both for the first time last month and was blown away! You'll also be visiting during the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts where you can explore the intersection of culinary arts, performing arts, and visual arts! I'm sure you've put a lot of effort into planning, and I'm excited for you to have a magical trip.

At this time, there is not a pharmacy on-site at Walt Disney World Resort. Many items that one might find at a pharmacy, including first-aid items, and many over-the-counter medications are available at many merchandise locations and at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and you can also contact AdventHealth during your visit for other Guest Healthcare Services.

I'm making an assumption that LFT refers to a "lateral flow test" which is a common term used to describe a type of pre- and post-travel COVID-19 testing in the United Kingdom, but a descriptor not often used in the United States. On my last trip to Walt Disney World Resort in December, various forms of convenient testing were available directly at the Orlando International Airport and at numerous pharmacies and health care providers nearby.

That being said, specific types of tests that meet your country's requirements might not be available at any given time. For that reason, if possible, I suggest that you obtain an at-home test kit in advance and bring it with you on your trip (if it meets your requirements). Otherwise, check your requirements and then compare that to the available testing offered at sites nearby - many offer at-home kits or convenient appointments you can make in advance! Taxi or ride-sharing services can also help with transportation if you don't have a vehicle with you.

Thanks so much for helping keep us all safe and healthy. Have a great time visiting Mickey and his pals!
