My family will be going to Hollywood in July of 2020. I have a large family traveling 9 of us, I am wondering when tryin to book a"boarding pass' for my whole family. How do I do it?

    Hi, Amy!

Thanks so much for sending your question to us at Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I absolutely love traveling to Walt Disney World with large groups, so I get how you need to plan ahead for everyone involved. Well done!

My family and I were lucky enough to tour Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, an All-New Land recently, so I'll explain how the Boarding Group feature of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance worked when we visited. In short, you'll have to have everyone in your party inside Disney's Hollywood Studios in order to join a Boarding Group, so it is best to arrive together as early as possible.

When this attraction opened, the trend began for Guests to arrive well before Park Open, as they have then been allowed to enter the park about 30 minutes prior to that official open. Once each one of you is inside the park, you will be able to join a Boarding Group, if there are any available for the day, as soon as the park officially opens.

To do so, open your My Disney Experience mobile app, and click on "Learn More" on the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance--Access by Boarding Group image. You'll be directed to a page, once the park is open, with a "Join Boarding Group" option. Click that, and you'll be able to select all nine members of your group, then submit.

Although more than one person can have that app open, seeking a Boarding Group for your party, be sure that only one person completes that task. You'll want to ride together, so joining one Boarding Group as one large party is the best way to ensure that this happens.

Once you have that Boarding Group for your entire party, feel free to tour Disney's Hollywood Studios as you wish, together or even in smaller groups. Once your Boarding Group is invited to enter the attraction (you can monitor that on the same app page where you joined the Boarding Group), you'll have up to two hours to enter.

Have so much fun planning your Force-filled day at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, an All-New Land, Amy! As you think of more questions, please send them our way. We love to help!
