    My family and I are heading to WDW in September. Is this considered one of the best times to go? It seems many people are heading that way also at this time due to the dining package special.

    My family usually goes to WDW in September and we find it to be a great time of the year to visit.  The upsides are that the crowds are relatively low and there are lots of special events (including Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Food and Wine Festival) that really add to the overall experience.  The downside is that the weather can be somewhat volatile.  Hurricane season can mean heavy rain, though we've always been pretty lucky to only encounter fast and furious afternoon thunderstorms that pass quickly.  It's true that the free dining promotion is a popular one indeed but we've not found the crowds to be unbearable, only slightly increased.  Have a great trip, and maybe I'll see you there!
