My family is heading to Disneyworld in June for the first time. We are staying at the Polynesian resort. After booking, I have read many online reviews that complain about dustiness, thin walls and loudness and I am very concerned. Is this true?

    Hi Tim!

Aloha!  The Polynesian is our favorite resort!  We have stayed there twice before and will be staying there again this May - 6 weeks and counting!  The rooms have been recently renovated and are absolutely gorgeous.  I have never noticed any dust or dirt in my room during my stays; however, PLEASE, call "Mousekeeping" if you are anything less than pleased with the cleanliness of your room.

Strangely,  some of the quietest rooms can be found in the value and moderate resorts.  The reason behind this is actually quite simple.  Rooms that have doors that open to the outside, rather than an interior hallway, are usually heavily weatherproofed.  This seal also happens to keep out a lot of the noise!  The deluxe resorts, which open to interior hallways, usually have a gap under the door that allows noise to travel in.  If you are concerned about noise, I recommend requesting a room away from the pool areas and to bring a travel fan or noise machine.  We have never been bothered by the noise at the Polynesian, but we are probably the family making all of the noise!
