Ahoy, Amy!
It looks like you have a WONDER-ful spring cruise on the horizon! If you're like me, you're already stressing over what to pack. I'm cruising in two weeks, so I understand how you're feeling!
The dress code for the Main Dining rooms will vary each evening of your cruise. You will have "cruise casual" evenings, Dress-up nights, and Pirate Night. While "cruise casual" guidelines suggest "no shorts", dressy Bermuda-style shorts with a nice top are perfectly acceptable. I usually bring outfits that I would wear out for date night at a nice (not formal) restaurant. I've worn dressy shorts with a trendy top and nice sandals and fit in just fine. You'll see lots of young men in polo shirts and nice shorts or khaki pants, and girls in sundresses and capris. While the look is casual, you still want to dress your best to visit these elegant dining spaces. Blue jean shorts and short-shorts are a definite no-no.
Make sure to pack your favorite pirate gear for
Pirate Night - an evening of swashbuckling fun that begins with a pirate-themed dinner. You'll see guests dressed up with a simple pirate eye patch, and some in full Jack Sparrow or Pirate Empress costumes. Have fun with it! Every guest will receive a Pirates IN the Caribbean bandana, and there are lots of accessories available in the onboard shops.
I hope this helps with your packing and planning. You can find more information about Disney Cruise Line's dress code
here. I'm wishing you a most magical vacation aboard the beautiful
Disney Wonder!
