Hi we are a family of 5 (13,9,3) and are heading to Disney for the first time in 6 weeks. My question is about the fastpass. Can I make or fastpass time for the 4 of us the same and not ride it together (so someone can be with the 3 year old)?

    Hi Shaune,

Your trip is right around the corner, I bet your family is so excited!

I have 4 kids in my family of varying ages and understand the need to take turns experiencing rides so that somebody is always with the littlest one.  I have two sources of good news for you regarding your question!  First, your FastPass+ selection will have a 1 hour window in which you may enter the FastPass+ queue.  Therefore you should have plenty of time for both groups of your family to experience the ride.

The second source of good news is an awesome service provided for families such as yours.  It is called the Rider Switch Service.  Click onto the previous link to read all about its details and to find out which attractions offer it.  The Rider Switch Service allows the person who is waiting with the non-rider (your 3 year old in this case), to receive a ticket that will allow them to enter the FastPass+ queue at a later time and bring another person with them as well.  This means that in addition to the FastPass+ selections that you already have, you may also use the Rider Switch Service for entry to the FastPass+ queue.  My older children LOVE that their little brother is still too short to ride some of the attractions because they quite often get to go a second time with Mom using the Rider Switch ticket.  And here is a little tip about the Rider Switch ticket:  It expires the day it is issued, but can be used at any time during that same day.

Have a MAGICAL vacation Shaune!  Please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any more vacation planning questions that you have.  We love to help!
