My family of 5 is heading to Disney in August. My kids are ages 8, 6 & 2, so the youngest is too young to be on a dining plan. (She will need her own chair though.) When I make reservations, do I reserve for a party of 4 or 5?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jill!

I am so happy to help you plan your family's summer vacation! I'm glad to hear you are thinking about your advanced dining reservations now. Since you can begin making dining reservations 180 days in advance, your reservation window for your August vacation should be either already open or open any day now. Booking as soon as your window opens will allow you to enjoy some of the most popular dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort at prime dining times! When you make your dining reservations, you will want to include all Guests in your party, including your littlest princess. A reservation for 5 Guests will ensure there is plenty of room at your table for for her chair.

Since you will be traveling with kids of different ages, heights and interests, be sure to check out the Rider Switch program. Our family loves using it so that our older son can enjoy "big boy" rides, while our younger son can do things elsewhere in the park without being bored!

Let us know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
