Hello! My family will be heading back to WDW in March 2020. We are excited to visit Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. Will we be required to have a reservation to enter Galaxy's Edge or was that only necessary when it initially opened? Thanks!

    Bright suns, Amy!

You're right to be excited to visit Batuu at Disney's Hollywood Studios! Extraordinary it really is!

My family and I visited Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge two weeks ago, and we had no problem entering Batuu or enjoying Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. We arrived early and entered as Disney's Hollywood Studios was opening. We had a blast!

The new attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, will be open by March, so attendance may be higher than it was in September, though. While I believe that you will not have problems entering Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge without reservations, I definitely encourage you to make a few. No, I'm not talking in riddles like Master Yoda would!

There is a very compelling reason for making reservations beyond the potential crowds. Some of the most memorable experiences inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge require reservations, and they are worth it.

I recently visited Batuu with my friend Jessica (who has been there several times), and she told me that building her own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop was one of the most fantastic experiences of her life. I can still remember the sparkle in her eyes! If you intend to channel the Force that runs in your family, this reservation is a must!

Another experience that requires reservations will lead you to build your travel companion at the Droid Depot. In my opinion, this is one of the most magical moments a young space traveler can experience. It's the moment when pilots know that they will never be alone again in the vast vacuum of the universe!

It is a fantastic option for families who visit with younglings, so be sure to find the best reservation for your family and enjoy this moment. But be sure to remind any First Order officials that your droid is not the droid they are looking for!

I hope that you can make the best reservations to enjoy this spacetacular visit in March, Amy! If more questions pop up before you hit hyperspace, please, come back! Our little corner of the Galaxy will always welcome travelers seeking knowledge!

May the Force and the magic be with you,

    Julie
