Hi! My family and I are headed to Disneyland and CA adventure in June. I’m planning to do a gender reveal for baby #3. I have the gender written on an envelope. I know character sightings are limited due to covid restrictions. What are some other ideas?

    Greetings Maxie!

Hello to you and a huge congratulations from all of us here at planDisney! Oh Boy, that is some very exciting news to share and capture at The Happiest Place on Earth. Let’s see what other ideas we can come up with as a way to celebrate this exciting news.

I’ve seen other gender announcements be made with classic Disney balloons. The color of the balloon corresponds with the baby’s gender. I’ve also seen couples, and even one of my friends, purchase a pair of Mickey Mouse Ears and embroider the baby’s name on the back as a way of sharing the gender and name! (That is of course if you already have name options). You could maybe take photos of you opening the envelope in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. That would be a fun way to relive that special moment for years to come!

I do have another fun thought! Depending on the ages of your other 2 Mouseketeers, you could maybe do a reveal with cotton candy. Open the envelope together and then have your other little ones open and eat the color of cotton candy that corresponds with the baby’s gender. I know during my last visit I did see that they sold both pink and blue cotton candy.

Maxie, I hope these ideas help you figure out how you will be sharing this exciting news. Once again, congratulations, and please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help!
