Hello! My family and I are headed to Disney in a few weeks and we are one ticket short to Magic Kingdom. There is absolutely no possible way of purchasing/receiving a ticket after all the reservations are filled? We want to experience it together.

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Meagan. I'm so glad you stopped by! I totally understand why you're worried, but not to fret. I have a few solutions, so let's chat!

You can absolutely purchase a Theme Park Ticket for the dates of your visit. The (slight) challenge will be making a Theme Park Reservation for that ticket, as it looks to be a rather busy time to visit. My first suggestion is to purchase the Theme Park Ticket you need and then frequently (multiple times a day!) check the Disney Park Pass System for Theme Park Reservation availability at Magic Kingdom Park. The closer you get to your arrival date, you may find a bit of availability open up. You never know when someone's canceled plans may mean new plans for your family! When you check for Theme Park Reservation availability, make sure you're logged into your My Disney Experience account and you're checking from there rather than the general availability calendar. You're more likely to find availability for the one ticket when you're logged into your My Disney Experience account than you would if you were checking for general availability.

If you still can't find availability for Magic Kingdom Park, don't worry - not all is lost. You may need to upgrade your Theme Park Tickets to include Park Hopper. With the Park Hopper Option, you can make a Theme Park Reservation for a theme park with availability. After you've entered that theme park on your reservation date, you can "hop"to Magic Kingdom Park (or any of the other theme parks) beginning as early as 2:00 PM. That means your entire family can still spend plenty of precious time together at Magic Kingdom Park!

My absolute favorite time to visit Magic Kingdom Park is in the evening. There's something extra magical in the air after sunset! I especially love Disney Enchantment, Magic Kingdom Park's newest nighttime spectacular. You won't want to miss it!

I hope this was helpful, Meagan. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
