Hiya Becky,
Welcome back to planDisney. Oh boy! You have picked my absolute favorite time of the year to visit
Walt Disney World Resort! It really is the most magical place during the holidays, especially if you are enjoying it with your extended family. Be sure you plan time to visit some of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels and enjoy the beautiful holiday decorations. Each theme park and resort has its own unique personality and feel. It is truly breathtaking!
I think you may have asked the most popular Disney World planning question. My friends ask me this same thing nearly every day and I can see why. Even though my boys are young adults,
character dining experiences are still one of our favorite ways to enjoy a meal at Walt Disney World. The menus are delicious and it is wonderful having some extra time to interact with everyone's favorite Disney pals. It is a great way to grab a few extra hugs from Tigger (he gives such great hugs), some playful interaction with Stitch (such the mischief-maker) or the perfect family photo with the big guy himself, Mickey Mouse. Although a number of character dining locations have now returned, there are a few, including the popular Disney Princess options, that have yet to re-open. Unfortunately, there has not been an official announcement yet on when that may change so I am not able to confirm if they will be available during your upcoming visit. I am very hopeful they will be an option for you to enjoy. I would recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as they will be sure to share the news once an official announcement is made.
The good news is you can still plan on
visiting with a number of the Princesses in other settings. If you have not already downloaded the
My Disney Experience mobile app, you will want to do that before your trip. It is a great way to keep track of character meet and greets. You are also welcome to
stop back here as often as you would like and I will be happy to share any changes to the character dining options.
Wishing you the most magical holiday season,
Margaret
