Hi! My family group of 8 will be taking a trip to Disney in June 2014. We have never stayed at a Disney resort because of Budget restrictions. We have a 1 year old and 2 year old traveling with us who both sleep in a crib. Can we stay in a 6 person suite?

    Hi Laurie,

It sounds like you are busy planning a fun family vacation! You certainly will be able to fit all 8 people in a family suite that sleeps 6, but I have to warn you that it will be a bit crowded. If you are planning on staying in a value resort, you might be better off getting two adjoining rooms if possible. This would potentially sleep 8 and give you additional space for 2 Pack & Play cribs. The only thing you'll be missing with this option is the kitchenette.

On the other hand, if you are planning on staying in a one bedroom suite that is part of the Disney Vacation Club, sticking with the suite might be your best option. The kitchen area is bigger and will give you space to prepare simple meals. That could save you some money.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
