Hi Maureen,
You and your family of 17 are welcome as can be at planDisney. Planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation for such a large group can be a daunting task, but all of your pre-trip planning and research will pay magical dividends when you are making core memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
One of the most important steps when planning for a large, multigenerational party is to add everyone in your planning party to each other's
Family and Friends list in
My Disney Experience. Find this list under "My Family and Friends" in the My Disney Experience drop-down menu on the Walt Disney World Resort website or "My Profile" on the
My Disney Experience Mobile app. Click "Add a Guest" to view options for adding your cast of characters. This streamlines the planning process by giving everyone visibility and access to tickets, reservations, and plans.
Once everyone is connected as Family and Friends in My Disney Experience, one person should be able to make
Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations as well as
Individual Lightning Lane purchases in the My Disney Experience app for the entire group. There is not currently a limit on the number of people that can be booked at one time, which will hopefully be the case during your visit, as well. In my experience, the Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation time may change slightly by the time you complete the reservation process, so be sure to confirm your arrival time in the app. If this happens, it just means you were switched to a slightly later time that can accommodate the entire group. If you run into any trouble navigating Disney Genie+ service while in the parks, stop by to see a member of the Guest Experience Team. They are conveniently stationed throughout the
four theme parks under big, blue umbrellas and are eager to help.

great tips for planning a vacation for large groups. Some of my most cherished family memories have a Walt Disney World backdrop. Choose family. Choose patience. Choose magic.
