Our family group is booked for January Disney cruise on Disney Dream. Check in is on December 18th. What documents and other information do we need to provide to complete check in and schedule our terminal arrival?

    Hi Sheila,

Thank you for sailing by planDisney with your important question about your Disney Cruise Line vacation. I’m very sorry that your message in a bottle wasn’t received prior to your milestone check-in date but I hope I can bring some additional clarity to this process for you now. Please know that you can finish the online check-in process up until the day before you sail, but completing it earlier gives you a wider variety of Port Arrival Times to select.

You may begin the online check-in process according to your Castaway Club Membership status. Log into the Disney Cruise Line website or Disney Cruise Line Navigator App and select “Begin Online Check-In.”

There you’ll find an intuitive step-by-step process, where you’ll need to enter:

    • Guest Information: contact information, travel documents, and security photos for each member of your travel party
    • Travel Plans: any flight or travel information before and after your cruise
    • Onboard Account: save a credit card for charges to your stateroom during the cruise
    • Traveling with Children: essential forms and permissions when traveling with minors, including registration for the Oceaneer Club for anyone age 10 and under.
    • Port Arrival Time: select an arrival time once all other steps are complete
    • Cruise Contract: review the details and accept the terms and conditions for travel

The process requires an upload of clear photos of your travel documentation as well as a forward facing, simple headshot photo of each family member (this can be a smartphone photo) for security. Please note that your security photo cannot be the same image as on your passport or travel documentation, so I advise taking a quick fresh photo of each family member for the security portion.

Disney will review your materials to ensure everything is complete and will send you a notice if anything else is needed prior to travel. You can print your Port Arrival Form when the process is complete (this is emailed to you, or you can print from the website) or add the digital form to your Apple or Google Wallet for presenting at the Port Terminal.

You can begin this process and return to complete if you don’t have all the information together at once, Sheila. I hope this helps you be well on your way to a seamless Online Check-In in anticipation of your wonderful cruise. A January escape on the beautiful Disney Dream sounds like a wonderful start to the new year!

    Wishing you a magical cruise,
