We are a family of 5. We want to go to Disney in late September. I see that free dinning is usually offed at that time. When is that normally announced? Will that be to late to book a vacation and dinner reservation? Would I be able to upgrade the dinning?

Hi there Jennifer! It sure sounds like you are planning for a delicious Disney vacation!!

Special offers with Walt Disney World can vary from one year to the next and so, there really isn't a guarantee that a free dining offer will become available for your trip dates. One way to attempt to predict future offers would be to look at this information historically. You can locate a listing of past release dates via www.mousesavers.com and then search, "Historical Information/ Discounts". When free dining has been available previously, paying the difference to upgrade to a different dining plan has typically been an option.

My recommendation would be to go ahead and book your vacation and then, make your dining reservations at the 180 day window. You can always reschedule your travel dates or cancel any meal plans you've made if needed. Just be sure to keep an eye on the latest possible date to cancel, so as to avoid any fees.

Thanks for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions our way! I'm sending pixie dust your way that the special offer of your dreams becomes a reality this fall!
