Hi my family of 4would like to go to Disney during our Orlando trip 3/30- 4/2 but are having a hard time booking reservations and tickets in line is the park closed during this time

Greetings from the Sunshine State, Joanna! Thanks for stopping by to see us with your question!

You've picked a lovely time for a Florida visit. My home state is gorgeous right now. We're well into spring, with warm temperatures and not much rain. You'll feel right at home coming from California!

The Theme Parks at the Walt Disney World Resort are indeed open now (and you must be so excited at the news that Disneyland Resort will be opening soon, too!). This time of year is just really, really busy with families coming to visit over Spring Break and the Easter holiday. That also means that Disney Park Pass reservations have been booked up for quite a while now. I did just check the Availability Calendar, though, and it looks like EPCOT is actually available each day of your visit. I absolutely recommend a day there, since that will give you a chance to take in the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. It's a beautiful time in the Park! You can see butterflies, marvel at the intricate topiaries, and sample the spring-inspired dishes at the Outdoor Kitchens. And there are fun things for the kids, too, including two different scavenger hunts!

Joanna, you should definitely keep an eye on the Availability Calendar in case more days open up, but if you can't squeeze in any more Park time, you can still add some Disney to your days! You could spend a day shopping and dining at Disney Springs, splash and play at Blizzard Beach water park, play a few rounds of mini golf, and take flight on the newest (and coolest!) way to get around the Walt Disney World Resort: the Disney Skyliner.

I'm so sorry your Walt Disney World vacation isn't quite working out the way you'd hoped, Joanna. Fingers crossed that you get a little pixie dust coming your way! I hope you'll come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
