Our family w/2 girls age 6 have reservations for the first week of June at POR French Quarter. I am really questioning whether we should change to POR Riverside. Please help!

Hi Diane - I've stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter, and really think each resort has its own merits.  I can tell you some of the benefits of each, and hopefully that will make the decision easier!

Port Orleans French Quarter is a smaller resort, and is actually pretty quaint.  The food court is generally not too crowded, and the beignets are of my favorite foods ever!  We found the pool area to be great, especially with younger kids (it's not too overwhelming).  Finally, since the buses usually stop there first, getting a seat is easier.

Port Orleans Riverside is definitely larger, and therefore, so are the amenities.  The food court, pool, and gift shop are bigger.  In addition, they have the only table service restaurant at Port Orleans.  This resort is definitely busier, with a lot more going on.

We actually requested a room at Port Orleans French Quarter in building six, so we were a short walk from Riverside.  While we spent most of our time at the French Quarter, we did also visit Riverside several times during our week long vacation.  For us, that was the best of both worlds.

    Have a great vacation!
