Hi there Stephanie, and welcome to planDisney!
Wow! It sounds like you are assembling quite a crew for your upcoming
Disneyland Resort adventure. Sitting down for a few meals is a great way to spend time together. I visited with a large group of extended family members just recently, and even though we frequently went our separate ways during the day, we enjoyed dinner together several nights. It was a fun and relaxing way to recap our day and discuss the next steps on our itinerary.
With a party of 20, you'll want to have several people in your group
make dining reservations for around the same time or within 15-30 minutes of one another. My family of 12 had two or three reservations for each of our meals on our last trip, and we tried to coordinate times as best we could. My mom, my sister, and I each made reservations in our Disney accounts, and when we arrived at a restaurant, we requested to be seated as close together as possible. I recommend having four or five members of your group attempt to make reservations for smaller parties. Best wishes finding tables and times that work for you!
Stephanie, when planning for a large group, some restaurants might have more availability than others. Consider the
Downtown Disney District and the restaurants in the
Disneyland Resort Hotels if the theme park restaurants are full. If you need specific restaurant ideas, don't hesitate to reach out again; my panelist pals and I LOVE to talk about Disney food!
I hope this is helpful! Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog and
social media for updates as your trip approaches. You'll be visiting just as the
holiday season is getting underway, and there is so much to do during the merriest time of year. Thanks so much for stopping by, and we'll see ya real soon!
Bon appétit,
Betsy
