family of four, staying @ art animation, 4 nights/5 days. On the fifth day, check-out time is 11:00. Will we still be able to explore downtown disney, other resorts, etc...Can dining plan still be used after check out time? Thinking of t-rex reservations?

    Hi Felicia!

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!
You're going to just love Disney's Art of Animation Resort. It's incredible!

You certainly are still a Guest of the Walt Disney World Resort on your departure day. If you've purchased park tickets for all 5 days of your stay, you'll be able to enjoy the parks until they close even on your check-out day. If you're not planning to visit a park, you certainly may choose to visit Downtown Disney or tour some of the other resorts while you plan your NEXT visit!

Your Disney Dining Plan credits do remain active on your Key To The World Cards right up until midnight on the day of your check-out. You'll certainly be able to use credits to dine at Downtown Disney on that final day and T-REX is a great choice. Due to the restaurant's popularity, I'd highly recommend that you consider making a Reservation Online as far in advance as you possibly can!

Thanks so much for choosing to visit the Moms Panel!
I hope you'll visit me again soon with more great questions! I'd love to help you plan all sorts of magic for your family's First Disney Vacation.

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World Felicia!
