We are a family of four planning to visit Disney in June and I am completely confused and need advice on lodging. Children ages are 16 and 4 and we would prefer to have two rooms or a villa. Suggestions?? keeping in mind we do not want to go into debt.

    Hi Mary Ellen,

The Villas at the Disney Vacation Club Properties are wonderful if you are looking for extra space.  The one and two bedrooms all have a fully-equipped kitchen and washer/dryer.  The least expensive in this category tend to be Old Key West and Saratoga Springs.  However, there are a few other options that might suite your budget even better, while still satisfying your need for space.

The first is the Cabins at Fort Wilderness Campground.  The Cabins are considered a Moderate Resort.  Each has a separate bedroom with a double bed and bunks, as well as a Murphy-style double bed in the living room.  They also have full kitchens and a dining area.  Each has a private deck with barbecue as well.  I also recently toured the Family Suites at the All-Star Music Resort.  These suites are a great value for families looking for extra space without breaking the bank.  There is a master bedroom, TWO full baths (this might be great with a teenager in tow!) and a kitchenette, with microwave, small fridge and sink.  The living room has a pull out sofa and a pull-out chair.

Keep in mind, that Disney is currently running a wonderful "Buy Four, Get Three Free" promotion, that may help make your trip more affordable.  Be sure to ask the Cast Member who assists you if the dates you have in mind are eligible.  If you are interested in these or any other larger rooms/suites, please click HERE for additional information.

    Have a great trip!
