Ahoy Abhik!
Welcome aboard! We're happy you asked this question about
Disney Magic at Sea because it means cruising is actually on the horizon. As a U.K. resident, you are one lucky duck because these voyages are ONLY for residents of the United Kingdom. Can you tell I am a smidge jealous? Actually, I am thrilled that Captain Mickey will be welcoming Guests onboard this Summer and delighted that you will have this experience.
So since you asked, here’s my way of thinking when weighing the length of cruise you want to take. It’s one thing if you are already familiar with the ship and know your way around the
Disney Magic because then there will be less of a learning curve and you can hit the ground running. But if it’s your first time on this particular ship or even your very first Disney cruise, then the better part of the first day will be spent getting into “cruise mode.” So in that situation, I would prefer a 3-night voyage over a 2-night one. Then again, I’m always looking for any excuse to have more days at sea, so this is just another “reason” I use to choose an itinerary with more nights.
Naturally, a 3-night itinerary will have more opportunities for activities and entertainment than a 2-nighter, especially considering that these Disney Magic at Sea sailings will be focused solely on at sea days and not involving any port days. To get a clearer picture of what your cruise will look like, check out this
Experience Updates page that details what to expect while you are on the ship. It also outlines what steps you can take in advance to reserve times for certain activities and entertainment, some of which can be done up to 30 days in advance of your sailing.
Once you’ve settled on the best Disney Magic at Sea cruise for you and your family, we’d love to chat here at
planDisney if you have more planning questions. Wishing you the most fantastic staycation cruise vacation!
Happy Sailing!
