My family of four will be heading to Disney June 1st through the 8th. We were hoping by heading there that 1st week of summer, we might avoid some of the summer break crowds. Do you have any experience with this week and crowds? Also, how about weather?

The crowds will certainly be on the higher side, but yes, by hitting Walt Disney World in early June you are avoiding the even more crowded July and early August crowds.

As for weather, June is the start of the rainy season in Orlando. It runs through September, but because you are coming in the first week of June you stand a better than average chance for decent weather during your stay, with temperatures in the the low 80s. Be aware, however, that in the evenings it can still drop to the low 70s,  and it can peak in the days to low 90s, so layers are the order of the day!

Please feel free to write me back from my bio page if I can help with any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
