It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katie! I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort at
this time of year because of all the extra magic that's in the air, and I can't think of a more special way to ring in a new year and a new decade than by spending it with your family at The Most Magical Place On Earth.
Walt Disney World Resort is a super popular place to be around the holiday season, especially on special days like Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. It is very rare for the Theme Parks to close for capacity, but it has been known to happen in the past on these days. If any of the Theme Parks need to restrict access for incoming guests for safety reasons, no new guests will be admitted and that includes guests with
FastPass+ selections and
advanced dining reservations. Because of this, I heartily suggest that you get there as early as possible and plan to stay through your dining reservation. You didn't mention which Theme Park you were planning on eating dinner at, but I especially recommend this early strategy if your reservation is at
Magic Kingdom Park or
Epcot, which are the most popular places to be on New Year's Day. Make sure to download the
My Disney Experience app to your phone and keep it close by because a notification will be pushed to you if any of the Theme Parks need to stop admitting new guests.
Have a magical day, Katie!
