    My family of four will have the dining plan for our upcoming trip. Some of my husband’s extended family will not have the plan. Will the restaurants split our bill between the two groups?

    It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Taylor. We are so happy to answer your first question!

    I love staying at a Disney Resort hotel and being able to add a Disney Dining Plan to my vacation package. It really gives me peace of mind arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort knowing that our meals are already paid for. I also enjoy making advanced dining reservations at our favorite restaurants so I can plan the best way to use our meal entitlements. Did you know that reservations are available 180 days in advance? In my opinion, the best way to check availability and make reservations is by using the My Disney Experience mobile app, but you are also welcome to do so online or by calling (407) 939-3463.

    Restaurants will be happy to split your bill between two groups. Please, inform your server upon arrival that some Guests will be using their Disney Dining Plan entitlements and other Guests will be using a different payment method. Gratuity is not included with the Disney Dining Plan, so I usually budget for that and bring extra cash. In addition, remember that gratuity is automatically included in the bill for parties of 6 or more.
