Our family of four will be arriving on a 7/27. We plan on going into Animal Kingdom right away but then have a reservation at Chef Mickey's at 7:25. What is the best transportation option to get from AK to Chef Mickeys?

    Hi there, Elizabeth!

You must be super excited with your Walt Disney World vacation coming right up around the corner! I'm so excited to hear that you've got an Advanced Dining Reservation at Chef Mickey's on your first night! I think seeing The Big Cheese right off the bat is a great way to kick off your trip!

The best way to get from Disney's Animal Kingdom to Chef Mickey's is going to be hopping on a bus to Disney's Contemporary Resort. You'll be able to catch a bus right outside of the Park entrance and it will take you straight to the Contemporary where you can head inside the front lobby and upstairs to Chef Mickey's. I always recommend allowing up to 90-minutes travel time just in case you have to wait for a bus or if there are any other delays.

If you wanted to spend more time at Animal Kingdom, you could opt to take a taxi over to the Contemporary which will only take about 30-minutes at the most and should cost you no more than $20 including a tip.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel, Elizabeth, and I sure hope this helps!

Please don't hesitate to write back in if we can help with any other questions you have.

Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
