My family (four adults) and I are visiting Disney World from Jan. 1-7th to celebrate my college graduation. Will there be ANY Christmas stuff up after Dec. 30th? It looks like we will miss everything. Also, any fun suggestions for grown-ups?

    Hi Jessica!

Congratulations on your college graduation. Your diploma is certainly something to cherish and appreciate as you move forth in your life. Walt Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate your achievement too.

Walt Disney World does not have specific dates as to when things must be down after Christmas. They understand that many guests come to see the special decorations as well as the events. Some things will end such as the Candlelight Processional but the decorations come down more slowly.

I suggest you use the first couple of days to visit the resorts which have some of the special decor such as the chocolate carrousel at the Beach Club Resort and the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian Resort. The Magic Kingdom castle will stay lit for a few more days with all of the twinkling and magical cover of lights. The parks will slowly remove their decorations over those days.

As it is impossible to determine when decorations go up each year it is also impossible to know when they will come down. Disney does not have a set schedule but instead their Disney elves work mysteriously during the night and remove magic and replace it with different magic. You should still be able to enjoy most when you arrive on the 1st.
