My family of 5 will be flying into Orlando at 10:00 p.m. We plan to use Disney's ME. I understand there can be a 3 hour delay before our luggage reaches our resort. Will bell services deliver it @ 1:00 a.m.? Can, or should we pick-up our own luggage?

If you have Disney's Magical pick up your luggage and deliver it to your resort, yes, it can take three hours to arrive, or occasionally more than that. I have heard reports that in rare circumstances it can take as long as five hours for luggage to arrive at your room.

Bell services will deliver your bags to you in the middle of the night, if that's what you desire. Or, if you'd prefer not to be disturbed during the night, you can request that the bags be held in a secure area near the resort lobby until you call for it in the morning. Obviously, in either case you'll need to keep with you in carry-on luggage any items that you will need for the night.

Personally, if I were arriving in Orlando late at night, I would collect my bags at the airport myself. You can bring them on the Magical Express bus with you and that way you won't be disturbed at night or have to track down your bags in the morning.

If you choose to gather your luggage from the airport carousel yourself, remember NOT to put the yellow Magical Express tags on your bags. If the baggage handlers at the airport see the yellow tags, they will pull your bags behind the scenes and they will never make it out to baggage claim.
