Hello me and my family fly out to orlando in a few weeks, but my husband has not long had knee reconstruction and it is not healing as fast we all hoped. is there any facilities at the disney theme parks for hiring some sort of electric scooter?

    Hi Kirsty!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

You can rent an Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV) or electric scooter at all of the theme parks or in Downtown Disney.

It is also possible to rent an ECV from an outside firm.  That would guarantee that you will have an ECV available to use all of the time and not just when visiting the theme parks.  I suggest looking at the Wheelchair / Scooter / ECV FAQ at AllEars.Net.  The team at All Ears has done a great job capturing all of the options and the pros and cons of each.

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and please write back with more questions!
