Although we aren't informed beforehand which promotions will be offered throughout the year, I always check their Special Offers page at least once every month to see if I can take advantage of any of them. You can access their Special Offers page by clicking here.
I would check it throughout the year, but from past experience, Disney will generally begin offering promotions at least a season in advance. So for example, you'll see Summer offers generally beginning in the Spring, Fall offers beginning in the late Spring/Early Summer, etc. If you are looking for any deals in October, I'd definitely start checking the page periodically as early as late Spring. Maybe there will be a promotion you can take advantage of!
